Choosing Your Fabric

What a busy day we have had with this Beautiful Saturday.  So many of you have been in to pick out fabric for a new project, some of you have purchased new machines, some have come in to add more fabric to an ongoing project.   What ever the reason for your visit, we are so glad you came in to brighten our day!!

Today one of our customers came in to show her friend how fun and versatile quilting is.  Her friend is retiring sometime in the future, and is thinking of taking up quilting.

I decided to show a couple of our traditional Log Cabin quilts that are all the same pattern, but different fabric. Thought this would help you to see how we all have different likes and preferences.
So enjoy these couple of pictures.  Also know that we have kits for some of them.  So if you haven't been in, come on in and pick up a kit.

Pilot on Board

Hi Everyone. Are you enjoying the beautiful weather we have been having?  I know we have been.  Yesterday was a huge day for someone here at the shop.

Quote of the Day:
"First solo flight this morning! There is nothing in this world more exhilarating than flying an airplane by yourself! "

So the next time you hear a plane flying overhead... Just think it might be Walter.  We all are ready for a flight with him, but he has to have his junior license a little longer in order to let anyone fly with him.

Wilson's can now say we have a sewing machine mechanic and pilot working here.

Sit-Down Longarm Demo Day

Good morning!!!  I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful day God has given us.

Tuesday,  May 9th we had a great turn out for the Sit-Down Longarm Demo day.  If you missed that day and would still like to have a demo, please give us a call and we can set you up with a personal demo day.

Here are some pictures from that day.

May 8th

So today was a slow day at Wilson's.  We started our new classes and everyone seemed really happy to be here.

Saturday was the last day of open house... What a great day it was.  The shop was buzzing with lots of great customers.

We all were so busy we didn't get to many pictures.
This photo is what all our cutting tables looked like around 11:00 am.  Lots of fabric was cut for so many projects and classes.
Julia had a great helper on Saturday. Malory decided that while her mom, Tammy, was shopping she was going to learn how to work at a quilt shop.
Malory thank you so much for all of your help.  We appreciated it more than you will ever know.

Day 3 has come to an end. We have been very busy and helped lots of customers with their supplies for classes.  Don't forget to stop by and pay for your class and get everything you need.

Here are a couple of pictures from the day:

Shana and Sally Brooks.

Thank you Sally for the wonderful lunch you provided for all of us.

Judy brought in her cat quilt done in Batiks.  I love cats and Batiks, what a great combination.
Awesome job Judy.

Kathy helping another customer with her class supply list.

Looking forward to seeing some more of you all tomorrow.

Open House

Good Afternoon everyone.   What a great start to Open House,  I have met some great customers.  The buzz of excitement and joy of picking out their classes, fabric and supplies is so invigorating.

If you haven't been in yet, remember we are closed on Wednesday, but will be open bright and early Thursday morning at 9:00am.

I just love my job here at Wilson's, I enjoy waking up in the morning to come in and see what is gonna happen that day, who I'm gonna meet, and what fabric I get to help a customer pick out.

Here is a picture of Sarah and her baby quilt she made for a friend.

I was helping Sarah pick out blues for a little boy quilt, then we changed our minds and went with yellow, brown, grey and the polka dots with cream minky on the back.  We all just love the way it turned out.  Just another great aspect of the job, customers bring back their quilts to show us.

Keep on quilting and visiting us.
